DescriptionThis year, Russia hosted the Winter Olympic Games, but for most Russians the price of the tickets turned out to be unattainable. Visa, an Olympic sponsor, decided to do something about it. We had 17 packages for two, and we aimed to give them to those who wanted to be there most.

We announced a challenge. During a year of training for the Winter Olympic Games, a cross-country skier covers a distance of over 15,000 km, which is more than the diameter of the Earth. We asked Russians to do exactly the same, by scrolling.

In the two biggest social networks in Russia we launched a virtual track from Vladivostok to Sochi, and everybody could surmount their 15,000 km—no matter their age, weight or job experience. The only thing they had to do was to scroll, and be the quickest to the finish line.
