ОписToday’s era of hi-fi reproduction and digital copying has left little room for individuality, making the error zone into a testing ground for everything individual, one-of-a kind or special. While making this calendar we let ourselves be guided by the following principles:

- In the era of technology and digital copying, an error, a ‘fail’ acquires a special value – being an actual and up-to-date ‘portrait’ of the modern times as is.
- Coming are the times of ‘fail’ esthetics, when an error may be beautiful, bringing about a quaint attraction of the casual, born of a particular combination of circumstances.
- Today, a ‘fail’ is a chance for the individual and unique, as an error, a mis-take creates a force field of individuality and uniqueness; mistakes are seldom repeated.


January
When holidays come, you sort of escape from the society, from others, from chores – from everything that is a ‘must’ but makes you kind of lose yourself. ‘Work’ is the tribute you pay – however, not during these holy-days of returning to your self.

February

A whole month is not enough! It’s too short, this cloud-crowd of days and weeks containing your business affairs, your plans and something so important it often makes you lose your sleep. To this month’s rhythm life keeps stumbling… and awakening.

March

To get soiled in time thawed, to walk smack into time, into a change taking place right before your eyes. You just can’t remain aloof and keep your distance, even on the side of this road time will get you full force.

April

There are days, nail-like principal days, that justify everything and inflame with meaning all other days which – being also good and important – are still less important than that very significant day that is the cause of all other days, the day without which all other days would have simply not been there.

June

Life is work. To live is to toil. Living is working without a day-off. It is being busy all the time. It is overtime emergency job without stop. And it is just one vacation. In the very end.

July

The taut steel of concentration melts into the juicy pulp of self-indulgence. In your somnolence you find out you move about solely in search of salutary shade.


August

You simply must get your fill of love, your fill of rest, of summer before the long winter. The impending and ruthless loss makes you rush to ‘take everything into your own hands’, to correct, to improve.

September

Summer rains’ moisture is utterly outer one, it hits the dry-a-moment-ago, the hard – and is repelled. Autumnal one is humor that grows, as it were, from within, swells – but gives new shoots.

October

The philosopher’s stone of the fall turns everything into gold. Gold overripe gets heavy and falls to be covered with the white shroud of winter, and to resurrect in the green of spring.

November

Cold, without the blanket of snow, is very dry and brittle. Everything superfluous falls off and disappears. Fall is one huge cleaning out of everything excrescent, fallen off, and of gleaning.

December

When one’s energy and time have been sacrificed to the holiday’s altar, when one’s return to oneself after a year’s rent is about to happen, when everything is becoming better, when it smells good and the aired rooms are full of light, when everything is being summed up, when a spoon soothingly tinkles in a glass of tea with lemon, when all these ‘whens’ come true – then comes happiness. One simply has to grasp it and taste it to the full.
